1. What this is
Octosona, LLC ("Octosona", "we", "us") is a marketing services firm based in San Diego, CA. We build and run websites, local SEO, paid ads, AI chatbots, and the other services described on this site for local service businesses.
2. Using this website
This site is informational and free to browse. Try our chatbot, browse the case studies, send a note. Don't try to break things, scrape it, or use it to abuse other people. We may block access if you do.
3. If we work together
- Monthly engagements. Most engagements are month-to-month. No annual contracts unless we explicitly agree to one in writing.
- Scope and pricing are confirmed in a written proposal before any work begins. The proposal — not this website — is the source of truth for what's included and what it costs.
- You can cancel any month. Email or written notice is enough.
- You own everything we build. Your website, content, ad accounts, Google Business Profile, Calendly, AI chatbot configuration, CRM data — all of it stays under your name. We don't hold your work hostage.
4. Confidentiality
What you share with us about your business stays with us. What we share with you about our methods (proposals, audits, written plans) stays with you. Both ways.
5. AI services
If you use our AI chatbot or virtual assistant services, the AI providers we rely on (currently Anthropic) may process the conversation text to generate responses. We will not train external AI models on your data, and we configure our chatbots to refuse anything that requests personal financial details or impersonates a person.
6. What we don't promise
Marketing involves estimates, not certainties. We share realistic expectations based on what we've seen work, but we don't guarantee specific rankings, lead volumes, or revenue. We do guarantee that we run the work we said we'd run and that we report honestly.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Octosona's total liability for any claim related to this site or our services is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. We're not liable for indirect or consequential damages (lost profits, lost opportunities, and so on).
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute that can't be worked out between us will be handled in the courts of San Diego County.
9. Changes
If we update these terms, the date at the top changes. If the change is material and you're already a client, we'll email you.
